    2012-4-15 · We characterized airborne particles from the opencast coal mining region in northern Colombia. Concentration, morphology, particle size distribution, and elemental composition were determined using gravimetric, SEM-EDS, and XPS analyses. The samples were obtained from 15 TSP and PM 10 monitoring stations that have been in operation since 2007.
